Form: sheetSupport: parchmentSeal: The seal is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. Grey wax varnished light brown. In the Calendar of Documents in France (ed. Round), p. 299, a description is given of the seal of the younger Geoffrey de Clinton. The device is the same as this seal, but the spelling of the legend is not the same. A winged monster, with the head of a horse and the tail of a lion, pouncing on a monster, with claws, a lion's tail, and apparently the head of a bull Legend: ‘SIGILLV GALFRIDI DE GLI[]TVNIA CAMERARII REGIS’Record Sources
