Badley. 1384. Grant. Geoffrey, parson of Weston, and Henry Cartewaner of Needham Market grants to Simon de Burley, Nicholas Dagworthe, kt., John Rodynge and John Paykyrke of Badley, all the land and tenements of Geoffrey and Henry in the town and fields of Badley, held by gift of Simon Vincent of Badley, except a certain tenement called Grettefordes, to hold of the chief lord of the fee for the usual dues. Dated: Friday after the feast of St Hilarus (14 Jan.), 7 Richard II. Witnesses: Michael Yne, Robert Clerk, John Bateman, John Harny of Badley, William Fyshere, Robert Mundeforde, John Newel of Needham Market (Needham) and many others.
