Needham Street (Needham-Street). 1359 . Grant from Alexander Wlphale, to William atte Fen of Needham Street (Nedham), and Agnes his wife, of 4 acres of arable land in the fields of Nedham and Kentford (Kenteforde), of which one acre lies next to the land of Dom. William of Claptone, with one end abutting on the land of Robert Berkelowe; two acres lie at Walkerescroftes next to the land of Dom. William Talemache, with one end abutting on 'le Waterweye'; and one acre lies in the same field next to the land of Alexander Sperlynge, also abutting on 'le Waterweye'. Dated, at Needham Street (Nedham) on Sunday before the feast of St Martin, Bishop and Confessor, 22 Ed. III [10 Nov., 1359] Witnesses: Robert Berkelowe, William Aumener, John Smyth of Needham Street (Nedham), Edmund Buntynge, John Gen of Kentford (Kenteforde), and others. The seal is wanting.
