Needham Street. 1349. Grant from John ate Hale of Powick (Poywyke), to John Priour of Needham Street (Nedham, in the parish of Gayslee), Thomas de Bumstede of Norwich, Thomas le Fader, Gilbert le Walyes, Walter Cliter, and John Fyche, of all his lands, tenements, common pasturage, and freefoldage, with the mill known as 'Kenteforde Melne', in Gazeley (Gayslee), Dalham (Dallam), Cowlinge (Coulingge), Needham Street (Nedham), Kentford (Kenteforde), Kennett (Kenet), Cavenham (Cauenham), and Higham (Heyham), held by the gift of John Priour. Dated at Needham Street (Nedham) on Thursday [9 April] after Palm Sunday, 23 Ed. III [1349] Witnesses: Stephen Chapman, John le Smyth of Gazeley (Gayslee), Adam Cressoner, John Smyth of Needham Street (Nedham), Alexander Sperlyng, Robert Notekyn, Robert Anys, and others.
