Higham. 1347. Release from Edmund, son of Thomas, son of Thomas of Heigham , in the parish of Gazeley (Gaislee), to Maud, daughter of Thomas, son of Thomas, of his right in land held by her in Heigham and Cavenham (Cauenham), as described in a charter of enfeoffment drawn up for her by Andrew of Swafham, and Thomas Cliter of Gazeley (Gaysle), chaplains. Dated at Thaxted (Thaxstede) on the feast of SS. Philip and James, 21 Ed. III [1 May 1347]. Witnesses: John Benge, Robert Cartere, Nicholas Cartere of Thaxted (Thaxstede), Hugh Welde, John Fiches, and others. The seal is wanting.
