Gazeley. 1315. Grant from John le Warde of Kentford (Kenteforde), to Walter Priour of Needham Street (Nedham), Petronilla his wife, and John their son, for a sum of money, of a rood of arable land in the parish of Gaysle, in the field called Walkerescrofthel, between the lands of Thomas Beyllard and the aforesaid Walter. Dated at Kentford (Kenteforde) on Sunday [27 July] before the feast of St Peter a[d] Vincula, 9 Edw. II [1315]. Witnesses: Thomas Beylard, John Howe, John Pistore' of Kentford (Kenteforde), Robert of Hapetone, Ralph (Townsend) 'ad capud ville' of Needham Street (Nedham), and others. Endorsed: Joh. Ward.
