BOKINGFOLD. Bartholomew Chanu , son of William Chanu , grants to the prior and convent of Tunabrige in frankalmoigne an annual rent of one mark of silver, viz. 1/2 mark from the land of Bokingfold and 1/2 mark from Bartholomew le Herre and his heirs, which they owe to him from the meadow of Odo. (c. 1210-20.)
