ARLINGHAM. King Henry II grants in frankalmoigne to the church of St. Leonard of Stanley, the church of Erlingham with all the tithes of the same village, and one virgate of land at Maismore which Roger de Berchelaio gave to the said church in frankalmoigne. Besides he granted to the same church 60s. per annum, namely, Hardacr' de Berchelaio , which the same Roger gave them of his rents, as the charter of Henry his grandfather witnesseth. At Dover, in transitu regis. (c. 1158.)
