Indenture dated 1 April, 16 James I, by which the right honourable Henry, earl of Huntingdon, &c., in consideration of the good services of Edward Carpenter , servant of the said earl, have granted to him for his life and three years after, a messuage and tenement standing upon part of the parsonage of Mesam, co. Derby, for an annual rent of 20s.
