Ralph Bulge of Purston, jun., grants to William, the abbot, and canons of St. Mary, Oseney, in frankalmoigne, an annual rent of one penny, which was accustomed to be paid to him by sir Jordan, the chaplain, for 2 messuages which he held of him in Estrop; also another rent of 1d., which Hugh de Lyons ("Leonibus") and Matilda his wife were accustomed to pay for a messuage in the same village. (c. 1270-80.)
