John Halegod of Oxford grants to Thomas de Winton, clerk, his two houses which lie between the land of Walter Feteplace on the one part, and the land of Thomas de Bedeford on the other, in the parish of St. Mildred, Oxon, paying to him and his heirs annually one penny. For this donation the said Thomas gave 40 pounds sterling. Witness. Adam Feteplace, then mayor of Oxford , Geoffrey ... provosts. [Mutilated.] (c. 1230-60.)
