Thomas de Legh of Oxford , called "toun clerk", confirms to the prior and convent of St. Frideswide the donations of his ancestors, notwithstanding the statute of mortmain, namely 16d. from a tenement in Grope lane which was John le Hore 's, situate between the gate 'del Oriole' and a tenement of the said prior and convent; and 5s. from a messuage in the High street, formerly Simon Whyth 's, situate between a tenement of the said prior and convent and a tenement formerly Henry de Edrop 's; and 2s. from a messuage in the suburbs of Oxford called Plomerhalle, situate without the south gate, between a tenement of the said prior and convent and a tenement of the donors, and 4d. from a tenement in the way called 'Shidierd' formerly the said Simon's, between a manse of Oriole and a tenement of Adam le Bocbyndere .
