BAYWORTH. Robert, the abbot, and convent of Abbendon, and Benjamin, rector of the church of St. Nicholas, Abbendon , grant and confirm to God and the blessed Virgin and the church of St. Nicholas of Sanford, all the tithes in Beywrth of the demesne of Hugh de Sanford which they have by the gift of Thomas de Sanford . Witnesses. John de St. Helen , Matthew de Bicstrop , Ralph de Sanford , Alan de Farnham , James, rector of Wittenham etc. (c. 1230-40.) [Slightly mutilated.] .
