FAIRSTEAD. Geoffrey de Slamundesheye grants to Hugh the carter (carucatori), for his homage and service and 12d., two acres of land in the parish of Fayrstede, in the field called Vivacres, of the fee of William le Flemyng, paying annually 8d. for all services. (c. 1270-80.)
