Nicholas de Bedefeud grants to the abbot and monks of St. John, Colchester, in frankalmoigne, all those lands and tenements which were formerly Richard le Warenner 's in Wycham, which he had by the gift of Robert Russel , son and heir of the said Richard. Also 2 acres of land in Wickham with a rent of 1d., paying annually to John Gernun and his heirs 6d. per annum, and 1lb. of cummin, &c. (c. 1280.)
