Writ from King Edward III to the sheriff of Essex and Hertford commanding him to distrain the lands of John, son of Humphrey de Bohun , son and heir of Humphrey de Bohun, late earl of Hereford , and to summon him before the barons of the exchequer to answer for the relief of the said Humphrey his father for the lands of the said Humphrey his grandfather held in capite the day he died, of Edward, King of England, grandfather of the present King. Dated at Westminster, 17 Dec., 4 Ed. III.
