Indenture of agreement made 8 April, 23 Elizabeth (1581), made between Roger Castell, esq., to sir Will. Brook, lord Cobham, John Brooke alias Cobham, his brother, and Edmund Bedingfield, esq. by which R. Castell undertakes to infeoff the said John Brooke alias Cobham and others, of and in the manor of Stalham's in Lound (Stallams) in Lound (Lownd), and of and in the advowson of the parish church of Lound (Lownd), with all lands and tenements in Lound (Lownd), and in Blundeston, Herringfleet (Heringflete), and Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), which were of the inheritance of one John Jernegan of Somerleyton, to hold the same to the use of Katherine, wife of the said John Jernegan, for her life, and at her decease for the use of the daughters of the said John.
