Indenture made 2 December, 26 Hen. VI (1447), between Walter Caleys of Glemsford of the one part, and Robert Snowe of Bishop's Stortford (Storteford) of the other part, witnesseth that whereas the said Walter is bound in a sum of 200 marks by a bond dated as above to Thomas Bawd, squier, and others, payable at Whitsuntide next, upon condition that he shall sue Robard Trygge for all the lands in Glemsford, Long Melford (Milford), Stanstead (Stansted), Boxted (Bokstede), and Cavendish (Cavendyssh), which the said Walter late made an estate of trust to the said Robard, and that the said lands shall remain to Walter and his heirs, and in default to Robert Snow and Elizabeth his wife and the heirs of the said Elizabeth. In default bond to stand good.
