⟨Bury St Edmunds (?)⟩ Richard de la Care, the prior, and brethren of the hospital of St. Nicholas without the east gate of St. Edmund, grant and quitclaim to the brethren of the hospital of St. Peter all their right in a fourth part of one acre of arable land called 'Holdefader acre' lying at Dristnapes, which they had by the gift of Thomas de Canter of Bury St Edmunds (St. Eadmund); for this grant the said brethren of St. Peter gave 6s. of silver. (c. 1220-30.) Witn. Stephen alderman of Bury St Edmunds (St. Eadmund), Martyn de Bertune provost, etc.
