BARTON (Little). Ralph, son of Andrew Canewaz of Barton Mills (Bertone), chaplain, grants to Peter, son of Geoffrey Canewaz, for his homage and service and 10 marks in hand paid, the whole of his messuage and lands lying in Barton Mills (Bertone), and his fishery paying annually 15d. (c. 1260-70.)
