BARTON (Little). Court roll for Little Barton (Little Berton), manor of the abbey of St. Edmund Bury dated the Thursday after the feast of St. Barnabas, 1 Ed. IV before Rich. Rynstede prior and cellarer. Do. held the Monday before the feast of St. Margaret, 2 Ed. IV. Do. held the Monday before the feast of St. Margaret, 4 Ed. IV. Court held 7 June, 15 Ed. IV (1475) before W. Mildenhale, cellarer. Do. held 27 June, 16 Ed. IV (1476). Court of Little Barton, held 24 June, 17 Ed. IV (1477). Do. held 24 Feb., 17 Ed. IV (1478). Do. held on the vigil of St. Michael, 18 Ed. IV. Court held 10 Sept., 13 Hen. VII (1497); time of Will. Codenlam, cellarer. Do. on the feast of St. Benedict, 13 Hen. VII; Will. Dersham, cellarer. The court held the Monday after the translation of St. Benedict, 14 Hen. VII. [Four membranes; of two of them only the top lines remain. Had lost 2 fols. before being calendared E.W.B.N. (NUS)]
