Indenture dated 7 January, 35 Henry VIII (1544), witnesseth that Richard Freston of Mendham, lord of the manor of Wickham Skeith (Wicham Skeyth), in consideration of the payment of £12, grants to Nicholas Godard of Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) three acres of land in Wickham Skeith (Wikhamskeyth) for 300 years, at 3d annual rent.
