Alice, relict of John, son of Jordan de Askeby , grants to Geoffrey, son of sir John de Askeby, kt., all her right in a piece of turbary in the village of Ashby (Askeby); for this grant the said Geoffrey shall give annually to the said Alice for her life 22 hundred of turves. (c. 1260-70.)
