John, son of Jurdan de Askeby, remits and quit-claims to John, son of Geoffrey de St. Sano, and his heirs, all his right in turbaries, brushwoods, and in his demesnes lying in Ashby (Askeby), saving the pasture of Askeby; for this quit-claim the said John gave to John three acres of his turbary and 3½ acres of brushwood in Askeby at Langhowe. (c. 1270-80.)
