Ralph, son of Alured the Little (" Aluredri Petit"), and Alice, daughter of William de Raveningham, grant to John de Askeby, son of Geoffrey de St. Sano, for his homage and service and for 15s., three cartloads (bigatas) of peat which they were accustomed to receive annually from the turbary of the said John, in Ashby (Askeby). (c. 1240.)
