WOODBASTWICK. Adam, the prior, and the convent of the church of St. Bennet, grant to Hugh, son of Hilebert de Wroxham , in fee and heirship, the whole of that land in Bastwic which their abbot William and themselves bought of Hugh Rod. , viz., the same land which was Reginald's his father; paying 8d. per annum at the feast of St. Bennet for all service and custom. [William, abbot, 1153-1168.] .
