FRESSINGFIELD, co. SUFFOLK. Indenture made at Norwich, in feast of Corp. Chr. 1422, 10 Hen. V, between John Mannyug, mayor, and the community of the city of Norwich, of the one part, and John Rykynghale, dean, and the chapter of St. Maries in the fields, within the city of Norwich, of the 2nd part, and sir Simon Felbrygge, kt., Roger Prat, clerk, Walter Danyel , and John Alderford , of the 3rd part, witnessing, that whereas the abbot and convent of Bury St. Edmunds have assigned to the said parties of the 3rd part the half of the church of Fresyngfeld for an annual payment of 40s., they grant the same to the dean and chaplains of St. Maries in the fields, subject to the payment to the mayor and corporation annually of £10 for finding a priest to serve the said church and officiate for the repose of the souls of William Rees and Margaret his wife, and all faithful souls, &c.
