WHITBY (Abbey of). Grant by the Crown to William, lord Ewre of the reversion of all the possessions contained in a lease from the Crown granted, by letters patent of 28 March, 3 Elizabeth, to Christopher Pykarde , by letters patent of 28 March 3 Eliz., of the chapel of Newton, in Cleveland under Oversbury, part of the rectory of Ingleby, and late belonging to the monastery of Whitby, for 21 years, at an annual rent of 33s. 4d.; in exchange for certain lands granted by the said lord Ewre. Dated 27 July, 13 Q. Elizabeth.
