WAKEFIELD. Peter, son of Robert de Bruer , Nicholas de Batelay , Adam son of Walter of Wakefeld, and Jordan le Mower of the same, are bound to John, son of Robert the mercer ("mercenarii") of Wakefeld , in 53s. 4d., to be levied on their goods and chattels if Elena, daughter and one of the heirs of Thomas, son of Thomas Dade of Wakefeld , or any one of her heirs, claim a third part of a burgage in Wakefeld, which the said John son of Robert bought of her and her husband Richard Isabell . Dated at Wakefeld on the feast of All Souls, 4 Ed. I.
