FARMANDBY, ESTHALGARTH, THORNETON, ELLERBURNE, PYKERING, and THURKYLBY. Indenture made 15 December, 20 Henry VII, between sir Edward Hastyngs, kt., lord des Hastings and Hungerford, son and heir of sir William Hastyngs, kt., late lord de Hastyngs , deceased, sir Thomas Frowyk, kt., chief justice, and Thomas Jakes , of the one part, and Geoffrey Symeon, dean of St. George's, Windsor , and the canons of the same, of the other part, reciting the foundation of a chantry by the said William lord Hastyngs for the souls of himself and Katherine his wife and others in the chapel of St. George's, Windsor, and endowing the same with lands of the annual value of £20. but because the specified land do not amount to £20 per annum in Hil. term 17 Henry VII, but only to £18 6., the said Edward now gives an annual rent charge of 35s. from his manor of Alberston Yorkshire, for the said purposes; and Frowyk and Jakes appoint John Hastyngs, gent., and Ralph Crawcetone their attorneys to give him seisin.
