NUN-APPLETON PRIORY. Richard de Faucomberge leases to the prioress and convent of Apelton the whole of his land which is called Suthwod, with 6 acres of meadow in the meadows to the east of Apelton, for 12 years, at an annual rent of two marks, and providing him with food and drink daily, viz. one conventual loaf of the old weight, one flagon of beer, and from the kitchen the allowance of one bun. Dated on the feast of St. Martin, in the winter, 29 Ed. [I].
