Robert, son of Jordan de Lofthus , grants to Hamo Dautrey [de Alta Ripa] three acres and one rood and one toft of land in the territory of Lofthus, which he had by the gift of Alice daugther of Richard de Adel ; paying yearly two shillings to the light "misse familiaris" in the church of St. Mary of York. (c. 1270-80.) .
