KNIGHTS TEMPLARS. William Puter (?) of Heddigeley grants to the Knights Templars, in frankalmoigne, his mill of Heddigeley and a culture near the mill "infra cruces circumpositas, cum alneatu in northe (sic) terre Simonis de Preston ", together with suit due to the mill from the men of the fee of Heddigeley and Burgeley. (c. 1240-50.) .
