⟨ Halifax.⟩ William de Eland, chaplain, confirms to Amabilla, daughter of William the tailor of Halifax and her children ("pueris suis"), viz. his foster-children ("alumpnis meis"), the whole of that land which he holds in Suthuverum at Stonirode and Lifkarpihelis, with the new land held of John de Eland and the assart called Hunarrode; paying yearly to John de Eland 2s. and to the heirs of John the Clerk of Crumbwelbothim 9d. and to the heirs of John de Lasci 8d. Witness. Ingelard, then vicar of Halifax . (c. 1270-80.)
